KidCo G-70 HearthGate
Offers protection from the heat and fire of fireplaces, wood
burning stoves and barbecues in addition to the dangers of sharp
corners and the hard, rough surfaces of hearths. Five interlocking
24" sections can be angled or set in a straight line as needed,
and are wall mounted for safety. Base set fits a 6' hearth. Gate

 G-Y Spindle
Many homes have staircases that aren't bordered by a wall. In this case the Y spindle aids installation of the pressure mounted gates to these types of staircases. The Y spindle wraps around the baluster to provide a secure installation.
On the Gateway® (G-11, G-14), use Y spindles only on the hinge side of the gate. No more than 2 per gate can be used.
On the Center Gateway® models (G-15, G-35), the Y spindle can be used on either side of the gate. However, they must be used on the same side. No more than 2 per gate can be used.
NOTE: For installation of a pressure-mounted gate on a staircase with ballusters on both sides, you will need to use a K10 Installation Kit.
 K-10 Installation Kit
The installation of child safety gates can be difficult since a "one size fits all" gate design does not exist. KidCo has assembled the materials and fasteners necessary to properly install any child safety gate to wood bannisters, hollow wall (drywall) or wrought iron. The KidCo Gate Installation Kit can save several trips to the lumber yard and hardware store. When mounting the gates to unusual surfaces such as brick or concrete, KidCo recommends that you consult a hardware professional, baby shop or baby proofing specialist.
One kit is required for each side of the gate that is not being mounted into a solid vertical wood surface and only the most basic tools are needed to assemble any good child safety gate.. Used for:
