Congratulations! With
a new little one on the way, you'll want to make staying healthy a
big part of this new and exciting time. The better health you're in,
the better your chances for an easier labor. And if you're in terrific
health while pregnant, keeping up with your new little family member
once you've delivered will be infinitely easier.
The most important things to do, now that you're pregnant,
are to visit with your physician to discuss your particular needs,
to keep a healthy diet, and to maintain a healthy weight.
Blood Pressure Monitors:
If
blood pressure is a concern for you, we've found two different home blood
pressure monitors from Omron Healthcare. One is a portable wrist
monitor, that makes monitoring your blood pressure easy, whether at
home or at travel. Simply wrap the monitor around your wrist, press
a button, and your blood pressure and pulse is displayed. The other Omron
blood pressure monitor is a digital model that both stores and
prints out your blood pressure information and uses Omron's exclusive
IntelliSense™ auto-inflation technology.
Heart
Rate Monitors:
If your doctor recommends exercise, you'll want to be
careful not to over-do. The best way to monitor your exercise intensity
is with a heart rate monitor. We've chosen two models from Polar
heart rate monitors, plus the Mio
Sport strapless heart rate monitor. Either of the models will take
you straight through pregnancy, yet still have advanced features for
use after delivery. FREE UPS Ground or
$5 Guaranteed 2nd Day Air on all heart rate monitors!
Baby & Mommy
Scale:
You'll want to watch your weight during pregnancy - if
you gain too little weight, it may not be good for baby; gaining too
much will leave you with unwanted pounds to lose after the little one
is born. We've found a terrific scale that measures adult body weight
(mom & dad), and also converts to a professional quality baby scale
for your new arrival. It's called the "mommy & me" scale from
Tanita.
Fetal Heart Monitors / Fetal Dopplers
Your doctor may recommend that you monitor your baby's
heartbeat during pregnancy. If that's the case, the Baby
Beat fetal heart rate monitor will give you the same high-quality
Doppler monitor that's used in doctors' offices - in the privacy of
your own home. This professional-quality instrument lets you hear the
true sounds of your baby's heartbeat as early as 10-12 weeks into pregnancy.
New! We now carry the BabyCom
Fetal Doppler -- monitor your baby's heart rate right at home --
at an affordable price!
